À l'instar d'Hoshoryu, Onosato a repris l'entraînement hier au camp de base de l'écurie Nishonoseki à Fukuoka.

À une différence près : mardi, il s'est abstenu de tout combat pour se concentrer sur le teppo (la "poutre"), réalisant environ 230 répétitions d'un exercice qu'il n'avait pas pu effectuer durant la tournée. Il prévoit néanmoins d'affronter ses coéquipiers dès aujourd'hui, avant de mesurer ses forces en rendant visite à d'autres sekitori d'ici au vendredi 6.

Je souhaite clore l'année en beauté en enchaînant un second titre consécutif après celui de septembre. L'an passé, j'avais dû renoncer le matin de la finale à cause de mon épaule. Je refuse d'avoir à revivre cela.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Like Hoshoryu, Onosato resumed training yesterday at the Nishonoseki stable’s base camp in Fukuoka.

With one exception: on Tuesday, he refrained from any sparring to focus on the teppo (the ‘beam’), completing around 230 repetitions of an exercise he had been unable to perform during the tour. He nevertheless plans to face his stablemates as early as today, before testing his strength by visiting other sekitori between now and Friday 6th.

I want to end the year on a high note by winning a back-to-back title following the September's one. Last year, I had to pull out on the morning of the final day because of my shoulder. I refuse to go through that again.
