Summer tour 2025
Les rikishi sillonneront les routes du Japon pendant le mois d'août à la rencontre des fans. Sur un total de 26 dates dont l'ouverture de l'Exposition universelle, ils traverseront 18 préfectures.
The rikishi will take the roads of Japan to meet fans during the month of August. Over 26 dates including the opening of the Universal exposition, they will cross 18 prefectures.
Jour 26 : Kasukabe-shi, Saitama

En ce dernier jour de la tournée estivale, l'ambiance est restée très joyeuse malgré le goût amer de la tristesse de quitter les fans.
Dans la matinée, quelques personnes ont surpris Takanosho se faire "agresser" par Shodai et Wakamotoharu. Si le premier utilisait la main de TNS comme une serviette, le deuxième cognait dans sa joue tel un boxeur.
Plus tard, on pouvait entendre crier le shikona d'Hoshoryu, mais quand on se retournait on découvrait son tsukebito Yukiamami agiter une banderole 😄.
Le torikumi était toujours identique, Kamito était invité contre Kagayaki avant que Rakanji conclut sur le yumitori-shiki.
Tout le monde rentre ce soir à Tokyo pour la révélation de son classement dans le tournoi de septembre. Le groupe va parcourir approx. 45 km vers le sud pour y arriver.

On this last day of the Summer tour, the atmosphere remained very joyful despite the sadness of leaving the fans.
In the morning, several spectators surprised Takanosho being "attacked" by Shodai and Wakamotoharu. If the former used TNS hand as a towel, the latter punched his jaw like a boxer.
Later, we could hear someone shouting Hoshoryu's shikona, but when you turned around you could see his tsukebito Yukiamami waving a banner 😄.
The torikumi was still the same today, Kamito was invited against Kagayakki before Rakanji performed the yumitori-shiki.
Everyone is going back to Tokyo tonight, to find out their ranking in the September tournament. The group will travel approx. 45 km south to get there.

Aujourd'hui, quatre rikishi étaient désignés pour la démonstration du chignon : Tobizaru et Tokihayate entouraient les locaux Takanosho et Kotoshoho.
Hoshoryu a choisi de reprendre les keiko. Dans la matinée, il a travaillé une série de onze matchs avec Wakatakakage (8-3 pour le yokozuna) après que le sekiwake produise DIX-SEPT joutes contre Hiradoumi.
Pour le torikumi, le Ms 24 Kurohimeyama était encore invité à combattre en sekitori, cette fois contre Kagayaki. Midorifuji a pu fêter son 29e anniversaire en s'opposant à Roga. Kamito a conclu la journée avec le yumitori-shiki.
Demain sera la dernière étape de ce périple aoûtien. Le groupe va parcourir quelques 105 km au nord-ouest pour rejoindre Kasukabe-shi en Saitama.

Today, four rikishi were designated for the topknot demonstration: Tobizaru and Tokihayate surrounded the locals Takanosho and Kotoshoho.
Hoshoryu chose to take up the keiko again. In the morning, he worked on a series of eleven matches against Wakatakakage (8-3 for the yokozuna), before the sekiwake began SEVENTEEN games against Hiradoumi.
For the torikumi, Ms 24 Kurohimeyama was again invited to fight in sekitori, this time against Kagayaki. Midorifuji was able to celebrate his 29th birthday by opposing Roga. Kamito concluded the day with the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow will be the last stage of this August journey. The group will travel some 105 km northwest to reach Kasukabe-shi in Saitama.

L'Association a appelé Shirokuma pour la démonstration du chignon.
Dans un coin du gymnase, Shodai s'est fait surprendre par quelques fans à taper sur Ryuden bien qu'Abi ait démarré les hostilités 😂.
Onosato s'est entraîné avec Oho, plusieurs personnes autour du dohyo entendaient le yokozuna dire qu'ils ne s'arrêtraient pas tant que l'ancien sekiwake ne mettrait pas le Grand champion à terre (4-1 pour ONS).
Dans le torikumi, Kamito était de retour contre Hakuyozan et Kotozakura affrontait Takayasu. Pour finir, Rakanji était à nouveau assigné au yumitori-shiki.
Demain, on part à Asahi-shi en Chiba. Le groupe doit parcourir approx. 67 km au sud-est pour y arriver.

The Association called on Shirokuma for the topknot demonstration.
In a corner of the gymnasium, Shodai was caught by a few fans hitting Ryuden even though Abi had started the hostilities 😂.
Onosato trained with Oho, several people near the dohyo heard the yokozuna say that they would not stop until the former sekiwake brought the Grand champion down (4-1 for ONS).
In the torikumi, Kamito was back against Hakuyozan and Kotozakura faced Takayasu. Finally, Rakanji was assigned to the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow, we leave for Asahi-shi in Chiba. The group should go through approx. 67 km southeast to get there.

Aonishiki a présenté aujourd'hui la démonstration de son chignon pour la première fois de sa carrière.
Dans la matinée, il a été annoncé qu'Hoshoryu ne s'entraînerait pas avec ses camarades à cause de son épaule, mais le yokozuna est resté au bord du dohyo pour des exercices basiques. Onosato quant à lui sollicitait Takayasu pour le butsukari.
Dans le torikumi, le héros local Hitoshi faisait face au récent champion Kotoshoho, juste avant que Mitakeumi et Shodai se donnent encore en spectacle 😂.
Kototsubasa a conclu la journée avec son yumitori-shiki. Demain, le groupe se rendra à Ushiku-shi en Ibaraki. Il leur faudra parcourir approx. 107 km au nord-est pour y arriver.

Aonishiki presented today the demonstration of his topknot for the first time of his career.
In the morning, it was announced that Hoshoryu wouldn't train with his mates because of his shoulder, but the yokozuna remained on the edge of the dohyo for basic exercises. On his side, Onosato called on Takayasu for the butsukari.
In the main torikumi, the local hero Hitoshi was pitted against the recent champion Kotoshoho, just before Mitakeumi and Shodai put on their usual show 😂.
Kototsubasa concluded the day with his yumitori-shiki. Tomorrow, the group will travel to Ushiku-shi in Ibaraki. They must go through approx. 107 km northeast to get there.

Près de 3'800 personnes se sont rassemblées aujourd’hui.
Dans la matinée, le local Atamifuji était le principal tuteur pour les enfants sur le dohyo. L’autre héros, Midorifuji, était préposé à la démonstration du chignon avant que les deux yokozuna présentent le nouage de leur corde blanche.
Un troisième natif de Shizuoka, le Ms 4 Satorufuji, était invité pour le torikumi dans un match contre Hakuyozan. Kamito a clos la journée avec le yumitori-shiki.
Demain, rendez-vous à Tachikawa-shi en Tokyo. Il faudra approx. 185 km vers le nord-est pour que le groupe y arrive.

Nearly 3,800 people gathered today.
In the morning, local Atamifuji was the main tutor for the children on the dohyo. The other hero, Midorifuji, oversaw the topknot demonstration before the two yokozuna presented the knotting of their white rope.
A third Shizuoka native, Ms 4 Satorufuji, was invited for the torikumi in a match against Hakuyozan. Kamito closed the day with the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow let's meet in Tachikawa-shi, Tokyo. It will take approx. 185 km north-east for the group to get there.

Kotoshoho fête aujourd’hui ses 26 ans, l’Association l’a choisi pour la démonstration du chignon.
Cela fait plusieurs jours qu’Hoshoryu arbore un bandage à l’épaule gauche. On en ignore la raison, mais le yokozuna semble ne pas forcer dessus…
Ichiyamamoto a encore joué au "fanboy" mardi, il suivait Wakatakakage partout où le sekiwake allait et faisait mine de regarder ailleurs sans comprendre ce qui se passe lorsque WTK se retournait.
Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya) était à nouveau invité dans le torikumi contre Kagayaki.
Le groupe part ce soir en direction de Shizuoka-shi, dans la préfecture du même nom. Il leur faut parcourir approx. 155 km à l’est pour y arriver.

Kotoshoho is celebrating his 26th birthday today, the Association has chosen him for the topknot demonstration.
Hoshoryu has been wearing a bandage on his left shoulder for several days. We don't know the reason, but the yokozuna doesn't seem to force it...
Ichiyamamoto played “fanboy" again on Tuesday, he followed Wakatakakage everywhere the sekiwake went and pretended to look away without understanding what was happening when WTK turned around.
Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya) was again invited in the torikumi against Kagayaki.
The group leaves tonight for Shizuoka-shi, in the prefecture of the same name. They must go through approx. 155 km east to get there.

Deux héros locaux ont participé à la démonstration du chignon avant un match d'exhibition : Oshoumi et Kagayaki.
En plus de Takayasu et Kirishima, les fans étaient très heureux de retrouver Tobizaru qui s'est absenté pendant un mois à cause d'une blessure au coude survenue à Nagoya.
Dans la matinée, Onosato (un autre natif d'Ishikawa) s'est entraîné avec Gonoyama après une séance avec les enfants. Le yokozuna était très excité de combattre "chez lui" pour la première fois depuis sa nomination.
Pour le toirkumi, Kamito a fait son retour parmi les sekitori en étant opposé à Hakuyozan. Mitakeumi et Shodai étaient à nouveau associés, et comme à leur habitude les anciens ozeki ont plus joué aux clowns que produire un bon sumo 😂.
Demain, direction Kiraya-shi en Aichi. Le groupe va devoir parcourir approx. 251 km au sud pour y arriver.

Two local heroes took part in the topknot demonstration before an exhibition match: Oshoumi and Kagayaki.
In addition to Takayasu and Kirishima, fans were very happy to see Tobizaru who has been out for a month due to an elbow injury suffered in Nagoya.
In the morning, Onosato (another native of Ishikawa) trained with Gonoyama after a session with children. The yokozuna was very excited to fight "at home" for the first time since his nomination.
For the torikumi, Kamito made his return among the sekitori when he was appointed against Hakuyozan. Mitakeumi and Shodai were again associated, and as usual the former ozeki were more clowns than producing a good sumo 😂.
Tomorrow, the group will head to Kiriya-shi in Aichi and should go through approx. 251 km south to get there.

Le Q&A était animé aujourd'hui par Oshoumi et Shirokuma. Dans la matinée, les fans ont pu intéragir longuement avec Hidenoyama-oyakata (fka ozeki Kotoshogiku) qui se promenait autour du dohyo en tenue "civile".
Les spectateurs étaient très étonnés de voir Wakatakakage inscrit sur le toirkumi, sa blessure à la cheville serait-elle superficielle ? Pour conclure la journée, Kototsubasa a repris son rôle dans le yumitori-shiki.
Demain, le groupe se rendra à Kanazawa-shi en Ishikawa. Il faut parcourir approx. 258 km au sud-est pour y arriver. Plusieurs personnes ont pu apercevoir Kirishima et Takayasu à la gare, ce qui signifie que les deux anciens ozeki intègrent la tournée pour la dernière semaine !

The Q&A was hosted today by Oshoumi and Shirokuma. In the morning, fans were able to interact for a long time with Hidenoyama-oyakata (fka ozeki Kotoshogiku) who was walking around the dohyo in "civil clothes".
The spectators were very surprised to see Wakatakakage on the torikumi, is his ankle injury superficial? To clonclude the day, Kototsubasa resumed his role for the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow, the group will travel to Kanazawa-shi in Ishikawa. They must go trough approx. 258 km southwest to get there. Several people at the station saw Kirishima and Takayasu, indicating that the two former ozeki will join the tour for the last week!

Onosato et Hoshoryu ont poursuivi le keiko inter-yokozuna dans la matinée avant un Q&A animé par Oho, Atamifuji et Kotoshoho.
Wakatakakage était absent tout l'après-midi à cause d'une cheville douloureuse. Malgré son envie de rester avec ses camarades, Sakaiagawa-oyakata lui aurait plutôt conseillé de rentrer à Tokyo pour se reposer et être en forme pour le tournoi de septembre.
On restera en Niigata demain, mais on parcourera approx. 63 km au sud pour atteindre Nagaoka-shi.

Onosato and Hoshoryu continued the yokozuna keiko in the morning before the Q&A hosted by Oho, Atamifuji and Kotoshoho.
Wakatakakage was absent all afternoon with a sore ankle. Despite his desire to stay with his mates, Sakaiagawa-oyakata advised him to return to Tokyo to rest and be in shape fpr the September tournament.
We're staying in Niigata tomorrow, but we're going approx. 63 km south to reach Nagaoka-shi.

Les trois frères Onami sont les héros locaux, Wakatakakage a présenté la coiffure du chignon avant un match d'exhibition contre Wakamotoharu juste après les dohyo-iri.
On a appris mercredi que Tamawashi s'absentait pour soigner des douleurs dorsales, Shirokuma a pu ainsi "prendre sa place" dans l'effectif.
2'500 spectateurs étaient présentes aujourd'hui. Hakuoho a fêté son 22e anniversaire en s'entraînant avec Oshoma et en affrontant Oho dans le torikumi.
Waka TK "n'a que" onze points à acquérir avant d'obtenir une promotion d'ozeki. Ce matin, il a confié à plusieurs personnes que sa préparation n'a pas évolué ces dernières semaines, mais il a intensifié ses efforts et veut profiter des derniers jours qu'il reste dans la tournée pour se confronter à un maximum de sekitori.
Demain, le groupe visitera Niigata-shi, il y a approx. 178 à parcourir vers l'ouest.

The three Onami brothers are local heroes, Wakatakakage presented the topknot demonstration before an exhibition match with Wakamotoharu, a few minutes after the dohyo-iri.
Tamawashi has been out since Wednesday due to back pain, Shirokuma "replaces him" in the squad.
2,500 fans were present today. Hakuoho celebreated his 22nd birthday by training with Oshoma and facing Oho in the torikumi.
Waka TK "only" has eleven points to acquire before becoming ozeki. This morning, he has told several people that his preparation hasn't changed much in recent weeks, but he has intensified his efforts and wants to take advantage of the last days of touring to compete against as many sekitori as possible.
Tomorrow, the group will visit Niigata-shi, there are approx. 178 km to the west to get there.

Je vais devoir m'absenter pendant quelques jours, ce qui signifie que je ne pourrai pas publier d'informations sur la tournée entre le lundi 18 et le jeudi 21, incluant les villes de Sapporo 2/2, Aomori et Yurihonjo. Je vous retrouverai le vendredi 22 pour l'étape à Fukushima-shi dans la préfecture du même nom.
I will have to be away for a few days, which means that I will not be able to post any information about the tour between Monday 18th and Thursday 21th, including the cities of Sapporo 2/2, Aomori and Yurihonjo. I will meet you on Friday 22 for the stage in Fukushima-shi in the prefecture of the same name.

Ce matin, les yokozuna étaient encore associés pour le keiko avec Kotozakura, et Wakatakakage les a rejoint.

This morning, the yokozuna were still associated with Kotozakura for the keiko, and Wakatakakage joined them.
In a corner of the gymnasium, fans caught Tamawashi and Mitakeumi offering Gonoyama a shoulder "massage".
Ichiyamamoto was once again in charge of the topknot demonstration before facing Hakuoho during the torikumi.
In the afternoon, Kamito had a match against Kagayaki and Rakanji concluded the day with his yumitori-shiki.

Samedi était une journée consacrée à la mémoire du 52e yokozuna, Kitanofuji, originaire d’Asahikawa. Le moment qu’on attendait le plus est le keiko des deux Grands champions, Kotozakura a même participé (la vidéo ici).
Ichiyamamoto a poursuivi son rôle de "chouchou" locall en animant l’entraînement avec les enfants, en présentant la coiffure du chignon et en interagissant beaucoup avec les fans lorsqu’il n’était pas sur le dohyo. Kamito n’était pas inscrit sur le torikumi mais on a pu le voir au yumitori-shiki.
Demain, le groupe s’installera à Sapporo-shi et y restera jusqu’à lundi soir (approx. 197 km à l’ouest).

Saturday was a day dedicated to the memory of the 52nd yokozuna, Kitanofuji, a native of Asahikawa. The moment we were most looking forward is the keiko of the two Grand champions, even Kotozakura was involved (the video here).
Ichiyamamoto continued his role as a local hero hosting the training session with the kids, showcasing the topknot hairstyle, and interacting a lot with fans when he wasn't on the dohyo. Kamito was not on the torikumi today, but he could be seen in the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow, the group will move to Sapporo-shi and stay there until Monday evening (approx. 197 km to the west).

5'000 personnes étaient réunies aujourd’hui.
La journée a démarré par une commémoration de la fin de la GM² au Japon (15-8-1945). La foule était très excitée de voir le héros régional Ichiyamamoto, mais le principal concerné n’avait d’yeux que pour Wakatakakage [NDLR, on n’est même plus surpris 😂].
Kamito était encore dans le torikumi Juryo mais cette fois il était opposé à Tamashoho. Juste avant eux, Hakuyozan se confrontait à un autre Makushita, Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya).
Demain, le groupe sera à nouveau en Hokkaido, mais il monte quelques 170 km au nord pour atteindre Asahikawa-shi.

5,000 people were gathered today.
The day began with a commemoration of the end of the second WW in Japan (8-15-1945). The crowd was very excited to see the regional hero Ichiyamamoto, but he only had eyes for Wakatakakage [Editor's note, we're not even surprised anymore 😂].
Kamito was again in the Juryo torikumi but this time he was opposed to Tamashoho. Just before them, Hakuyozan faced another Makushita, Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya).
Tomorrow, the group will remain in Hokkaido, but they travel some 170 km north to reach Asahikawa-shi.

Sakaigawa-oyakata, le responsable des tournées, s'est présenté en début de matinée pour annoncer l'absence de Kirishima, blessé au poignet, mais il n'exclut pas l'hypothèse d'un retour dans la dernière semaine.
Les yokozuna ont donné le rythme du keiko, Ryuden étant leur principale "victime" avec Shonannoumi pour Hoshoryu et Onokatsu pour Onosato. Les deux Grands champions semblent n'avoir pas encore décidé de leur préparation commune, mais ils s'accordent pour être au meilleur de leur forme lorsque le moment sera venu (c.-à-d. un orteil plus sain pour le mongol...).
Le torikumi n'a pas évolué, mais les spectateurs ont pu voir deux danseurs de l'arc en action pour la Juryo :

Le groupe marque une légère pause ce soir, ils profiteront de jeudi pour changer d'île et voyager jusqu'à Obihiro-shi en Hokkaido (755 km au nord). La préfecture sera leur "terrain de jeu" pour les quatre prochains jours, soit trois villes différentes.

Sakaigawa-oyakata, head of the tours, showed up in the early morning to announce Kirishima's absence because of a wrist injury but he doesn't rule out the possibility of a return in the last week.
The yokozuna set the pace of the keiko, Ryuden was their main "victim" along with Shonanoumi for Hoshoryu and Onokatsu for Onosato. The two Great champions seem to have not yet decided on their joint preparation, but they still agree to be at their best best when it happens (i.e. a healed toe for the Mongolian...).
The torikumi hasn't evolved, but the spectators were able to see two bow twirlers in action for the Juryo bouts:

The group takes a slight break this evening, they will take advantage of Thuirsday to change islands and travel to Obihiro-shi in Hokkaido (755 km to the north). The prefecture will be their "playground" for the next four days or three different cities.

Le héros local Tokihayate était appelé par Kotozakura pour le keiko matinal. L'ozeki a en effet repris un "vrai" entraînement aujourd'hui, jusqu'ici il ne faisait que de la préparation physique.
De son côté, Oho s'est mesuré aux deux yokozuna, l'orteil d'Hoshoryu est toujours douloureux mais il essaie de ne pas trop forcer dessus.
Les spectateurs ont aussi remarqué que Kusano passait beaucoup de temps à discuter avec les autres sekitori, notamment Mitakeumi et Ichiyamamoto. Si le torikumi est resté le même, on a découvert un nouveau "danseur" de l'arc en la personne de Kamito (Tatsunami-beya).
Demain, le groupe visitera Morioka-shi en Iwate. Il faut parcourir approx. 180 km au nord pour y arriver.

The local hero Tokihayate was called by Kotozakura today for the morning keiko. The ozeki has indeed resumed a "real" training session today, until now he was only doing physical preparation.
For his part, Oho faced both yokozuna, Hoshoryu's toe still hurts but he tries to not put too much pressure on it.
Spectators also noticed that Kusano was talking a lot with the other sekitori, mainly Mitakeumi and Ichiyamamoto. If the torikumi has remained the same, we discovered a new bow-twirler in the person of Kamito (Tatsunami-beya).
Tomorrow, the group will be in Morioka-shi, Iwate. It takes approx. 180 km to the north to get there.

Héros local, Tokihayate a géré l'animation avec les enfants dans la matinée avant d'être la "victime" des deux yokozuna au butsukari.
Le groupe sera encore là demain, ils en ont donc profité pour prendre plus de temps à interagir avec le public, prendre des photos, etc. Quelques spectateurs ont aussi pu croiser des superstars de la SENJO (catch professionnel) venues supporter leurs rikishi préférés.
Le vétéran Tamawashi a continué de jouer au clown aujourd'hui, il se "cachait" dans un coin du gymnase et s'exerçait à gifler Ichiyamamoto et Shodai.
Le torikumi n'a pas changé. Pour clôturer la journée, on a retrouvé Rakanji au yumitori-shiki malgré la présence de son coéquipier Hananoumi qui avait un match en Makushita...

The group will be there again tomorrow, thus they took more time to interact with the spectators, take photos, etc. A few fans were also able to meet SENJO superstars (pro wrestling) who came to support their favourite rikishi.
Veteran Tamawashi continued to play the clown today, "hiding" in a corner of the arena and practiced his slapping on Ichiyamamoto and Shodai.
The torikumi was the same as the previous days. To end the day, Rakanji took over the yumitori-shiki despite the presence of his stablemate Hananoumi who had a match in Makushita...

La foule a porté beaucoup d'encouragement pour les rikishi de la Sadogatake-beya qui ont animé la majeure partie de la matinée. En effet, leur directeur (fka Kotonowaka I) est originaire de la région.
Pour le torikumi, le héros local Hakuyozan affrontait le jeune champion Kotoshoho. On a encore assisté à de belles rencontres, notamment Aonishiki-Hakuoho.
Demain, le groupe se rendra à Sendai, Miyagi pour deux jours. Il ne faut qu'approx. 82 km à l'est pour y arriver.

They were more than 2,000 spectators today.
The rikishi of Sadogatake-beya received a lot of encouragement when they animated most of the morining practice. Indeed, their headmaster (fka Kotonowaka I) is a native of the prefecture.
For the torikumi, the local hero Hakuyozan faced the recent champion Kotoshoho. There were some great bouts again such as Aonishiki-Hakuoho.
Tomorrow, the group will travel to Sendai, Miyagi and stay for two days. It only takes approx. 82 km to the east to get there.

Pour cette deuxième journée en Fukushima, l’honneur était rendu à trois héros locaux de la Dewanoumi-beya : la fratrie Sandanme Kiyota, Kiyonohana et Kiyonoyama.
Au torikumi, rien n’a changé, mais on a remarqué un "danseur de l’arc" différent aujourd’hui : Rakanji (Nishonoseki-beya) a ainsi présenté le premier rituel de sa carrière ! On ignore cependant la raison de l’absence de son compagnon Hananoumi, habitué de la cérémonie, qui n’apparaissait à aucun moment du programme…
Pour l’étape de demain, on part quelques 134 km au nord pour atteindre Yamanobe-machi en Yamagata.

For this second day in Fukushima, the honor was paid to three local heroes belonging to Dewanoumi-beya: Sandanme siblings Kiyota, Kiyonohana and Kiyonoyama.

On a très peu d'informations sur les événements de cette journée.
Les frères Onami étant les héros régionaux, l'Association a choisi Wakamotoharu pour démontrer la coiffure du chignon.
Les fans ont eu "la chance" d'avoir deux shokkiri aujourd'hui ! En effet, après le traditionnel spectacle donné à midi par Tochimitsuru et Wakazakura, c'est pendant le torikumi qu'on a pu admirer la comédie de Shodai et Tamawashi 🤣.
Le groupe reste ce soir en Fukushima, ils n'auront que 88 km à parcourir au sud-ouest pour atteindre Koriyama-shi.

We have very little information about today's events.
The Onami brothers being the prefectoral heroes, the Association chose Wakamotoharu to demonstrate how to tie a topknot.
Fans were "lucky" enough to have two shokkiri on Friday! Indeed after the traditional noon show of Tochimitsuru and Wakazakura, we could attend Shodai and Tamawashi's comedy during the torikumi 🤣.
The group stays in Fukushima tonight, they only have approx. 88km to the southwest to reach Koriyama-shi.

Dès leur arrivée, les fans étaient très déçus de l'absence du héros local Takayasu, qui s'est encore blessé au dos... En revanche, ils étaient agréablement surpris de découvrir que le Q&A était animé par les directeurs des deux yokozuna !
Hoshoryu a animé l'entraînement matinal des enfants sous les yeux d'Onosato, Kirishima et Oshoma avant de présenter le nouage de sa corde blanche. Aucun commentaire n'a été fait sur l'état de son pied, mais on constate que le yokozuna travaille toute la journée sans protection à l'orteil.
Aonishiki est revenu dans le toirkumi, il est toujours un peu faible à l'épaule mais il réussit à produire un bon sumo contre Kinbozan. En fin de journée, le public a été témoin du lancement officieux de l'ère Oho 大豊 lorsque les deux Grands champions se sont affrontés : 1-0 pour H.
Demain, direction Minamisoma-shi en Fukushima (approx. 260 km au nord-est).

Fans were very disappointed by the absence of their local hero Takayasu, who re-injured his back... On the other hand, they were pleasantly surprised to discover a Q&A with the headmasters of the two yokozuna!
Hoshoryu led the children's training this morning under the eyes of Onosato, Kirishima and Oshoma before he presented the knotting of his white rope. No comment was made on his foot condition, but it's noted that he works all day without protection on his toe.
Aonishiki is back in the torkumi, he's still a little weak on the shoulder but he manages to produce a good sumo against Kinbozan. At the end of the day, the public witnessed the unofficial launch of the Oho 大豊 era when the two Great champions faced each other: 1-0 for H.
Tomorrow, we will head to Minamisoma-shi in Fukushima (approx. 260 km to the northeast).

On recense 2'600 spectateurs aujourd'hui.
Sakaigawa-oyakata, qui est responsable des tournées, a informé le public qu'Aonishiki sera présent uniquement pour le keiko matinal, mais une blessure à l'épaule l'empêche de combattre correctement. Le jeune ukrainien devrait tout de même rester avec le groupe, il ne participera à aucun torikumi tant qu'il n'est pas rétabli.
Sur le dohyo, l'invité de mardi était le Makushita 24 Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya), venu affronter Hakuyozan. Il n'y a pas eu de grosse surprise dans les matchs, inchangés depuis le début du circuit.
Kototsubasa a repris le yumitori-shiki concluant la journée, ce qui confirme le retour du cycle d'alternance avec Hananoumi.
L'étape de demain est Koga-shi en Ibaraki (approx. 570 km à l'est).

There were 2,600 spectators today.
Sakaigawa-oyakata, who oversees the tours, informed the audience that Aonishiki will be present only for the morning keiko, but a shoulder injury prevents him from fighting properly. The young Ukrainian is still expected to stay with the group but will not participate in any torikumi until he has recovered.
On the dohyo, Tuesday's guest was Makushita 24 Kurohimeyama (Sakaigawa-beya) against Hakuyozan. There were no big surprises in the bouts, which remained the same as the beginning of the journey.
Kototsubasa concluded the day with the yumitori-shiki, confirming the return of the alternation cycle with Hananoumi.
Tomorrow's stage is Koga-shi, in Ibaraki (approx. 570 km to the east).

Plusieurs élèves d'un lycée local sont montés sur le dohyo aujourd'hui, Mitakeumi était leur principal "instructeur". On a vu Kotoeiho s'entraîner sous les yeux de son frère -shoho, c'est sa première participation à la tournée et il veut profiter de cette occasion pour se confronter à un maximum de sekitori pour effacer de sa mémoire le 6-9 de Nagoya...
Le torikumi de l'après-midi a offert de belles rencontres comme Atamifuji-Tamawashi ou Aonishiki-Abi. Les fans étaient aussi très excités de voir le match entre Wakatakakage et Kirishima.
On a changé de personnage pour le yumitori-shiki de fin de journée : Kototsubasa laissant sa place à Hananoumi (Nishonoseki-beya).
Demain, c'est Fukui-shi qui accueillera le groupe (approx. 160 km au nord-ouest).

Several students from a local HS rode the dohyo today, Mitakeumi being their main "instructor". Kotoeiho was seen training, supervised by his brother -shoho. It's his first participation in a tour, he wants to erase from his memory Nagoya's 6-9...
The afternoon torikumi offered some greats bouts such as Atamifuji-Tamawashi or Aonishiki-Abi. The fans were also very excited to watch the match between Wakatakakage and Kirishima.
We changed the yumitori-shiki character at the end of the day: Kototsubasa was replaced by Hananoumi (Nishonoseki-beya).
Tomorrow, Fukui-shi will host the jungyo's stop (approx. 160 km to the northwest).

Les rikishi sont de retour sur les routes nipponnes ! Le premier arrêt était même d’une ampleur mondiale puisque l’Association inaugurait l’Exposition universelle d’Osaka.
Plus de 4'000 personnes sont venus rencontrer le groupe. Dans la matinée, plusieurs sekitori ont délaissé l’entraînement pour visiter l’événement, comme Atamifuji sur la partie italienne. Les mongols, eux, ont parcouru leur terrain natal.
Onosato a pris une photo commémorative dans la matinée avant son dohyo-iri de l’après-midi. La démonstration du chignon était sous la responsabilité de Gonoyama. Pour conclure cette journée, Kototsubasa (Sadogatake-beya) a présenté le yumitori-shiki.
L’étape de demain est Gifu dans la préf. éponyme (approx. +200 km au nord-est).

Rikishi are back on the Japanese roads! The first stop was even of a world magnitude since the Association inaugurated the Osaka Universal Expo.
More than 4,000 people came to meet the group. In the morning, several sekitori left training to visit the event, such as Atamifuji on the Italian pavillon. Mongolians, on the other hand, have travelled through their native land.
Onosato took a memorial photo in the morning before his afternoon dohyo-iri. The topknot demonstration was under Gonoyama's responsibility. To conclude the day, Kototsubasa (Sadogatake-beya) presented the yumitori-shiki.
Tomorrow's stage is Gifu in the eponymous pref. (approx. +200 km to the northeast).
