  • Yokozuna

Onosato a été promu 75ᵉ Grand champion il y a quelques semaines, on le verra donc pour son premier tournoi officiel avec la corde blanche !

 ​

  • San'yaku

Nous aurons trois sekiwake en juillet, Wakatakakage reprend le poste qu'il a quitté il y a un peu plus de deux ans (2023-3, genou blessé). 

Oshoma entre aujourd'hui dans "la cour des grands" en accédant à la place de komusubi. Le plus surprenant est le maintien de Takayasu malgré son 6-9 en mai...​

  • Maegashira

Bonne nouvelle, personne n'est destitué de la san'yaku. Six hommes atteignent leur meilleur classement dont le jeune ukrainien Aonishiki (Ajigawa-beya) en n° 1 ! Kusano, champion Juryo à Natsu, se hisse à la quatorzième position (photo). Hidenoumi et Mitakeumi sont réintégrés, ils amènent avec eux deux nouveaux : Kotoeiho et Wakaikari, il faudra d'ailleurs appeler ce dernier Fujinokawa à partir de maintenant.

  • Juryo

Cinq rikishi tombent en deuxième division après un Natsu passable. Trois autres acquièrent leur meilleur rang, pendant qu'Otsuji et Kotokuzan reviennent parmi les sekitori.

Il y a du mouvement chez quelques favoris :

  1. Asanoyama est tout proche de sa réintégration sekitori en devenant Makushita 1.

  2. Parmi les anciens disciples de Hakuho, Enho tombe à la seizième place Makushita. Kawazoe, qui avait terminé 1-4-2, dégringole n° 41. Leur camarade Seihakuho a plus de chance et gagne sept places pour arriver n° 21.

  3. Beaucoup de personnes le surnomment "Majin Boo" en référence au personnage de Dragon Ball : Chiyomaru descend en Makushita 16.

  4. Enfin Tenrosei, le cousin d'Hoshoryu qui était vice-champion Jonidan durant la dernière compétition, est propulsé Sandanme 48.

Pour terminer ce rapport, je voudrais faire un point sur les Ms tsukidashi 60 de mai...

  • Gyotoku, de Tamanoi-beya, est n° 27

  • Kakueizan (fka Urayama), d'Otowayama-beya, est n° 50

  • Hanaoka, de Sakaigawa-beya, est n° 51

We have three sekiwake in July, Wakatakakage taking over the position he left two years ago (2025-3, knee injured). 

Oshoma is now entering the "big league" by taking the komusubi place. The most surprising thing is that Takayasu stays here despite his 6-9 in May...​

  • Maegashira

The good news is that no one has been demoted from the san'yaku. Six men reach their best ranking, including the young Ukrainian Aonishiki (Ajigawa-beya) as No. 1! Kusano, Juryo's champion in Natsu, climbs to the fourteenth position (photo). Hidenoumi and Mitakeumi are reinstated, bringing with them two new ones: Kotoeiho and Wakaikari, we have to call the latter Fujinokawa from now on.

  • Juryo

Five rikishi fall to the second division after a passable Natsu. Three others achieve their best ranks, while Otsuji and Kotokuzan are back among the sekitori.

There's a bit a movement among some of the favourites:

  1. Asanoyama is very close to his sekitori return by becoming Makushita 1.

  2. Among Hakuho's former disciples, Enho falls to Makushita 16. Kawazoe, who finished 1-4-2, drops to No. 41. Their stablemate Seihakuho is luckier, gaining seven places to be No. 21.

  3. Many people nickname him "Majin Boo" in reference to Dragon Ball's character: Chiyomaru goes down to Makushita 16.

  4. Tenrosei, Hoshoryu's cousin who was a Jonidan runner-up during the last competition, is propelled into Sandanme as No. 48.

To conclude this report, I would like to make an update on May's Ms tsukidashi 60:

  • Gyotoku, from Tamanoi-beya, is No. 27.

  • Kakueizan (fka Urayama), from Otowayama-beya, is No. 50.

  • Hanaoka, from Sakaigawa-beya, is No. 51.
