Trois jours après la fin du tournoi d’été, l’Association révèle aujourd’hui la liste des shin-Juryo pour le prochain banzuke mais aussi les départs en retraite.

Three days after the end of the Summer tournament, the Association revealed today the list of shin-Juryo for the next banzuke but also the retirements.

Avec la nomination d’Onosato comme 75e yokozuna, deux hommes font leur retour en sekitori, il n’y a cependant aucun nouveau promu :

Otsuji, de Takadagawa-beya, reviendra après seulement deux mois passés en Makushita.

Kotokuzan, d’Arashio-beya, réapparaîtra trois ans après sa relégation.

J’avais déjà évoqué ces derniers jours quelques noms. Mercredi, dix (onze) personnes sont répertoriées dans ceux qui raccrochent le mawashi. Parmi eux, l’ancien komusubi Hokutofuji devient Oyama-oyakata. Vous retrouverez le détail dans un tableau en bas de cet article avec leur meilleur classement et leur date d’entrée.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

With Onosato as the 75th yokozuna, two men make their return to sekitori, but there are no new promotions:

Otsuji, from Takadagawa-beya, will return after only two months in Makushita.

Kotokuzan, from Arashio-beya, will reappear three years after his relegation.

I had already mentioned a few names in recent days. On Wednesday, ten (eleven) people are listed hanging up the mawashi. Among them, the former komusubi Hokutofuji became Oyama-oyakata. You will find the details in a table at the bottom of this article  with their best ranking and entry date.
