En raison de fortes pluies ce dimanche 6 septembre à Tokyo, la parade célébrant la troisième victoire de l'ozeki Aonishiki au tournoi de Nagoya a dû être annulée.
Prévue à 18:00 JPT dans le quartier de son écurie Ajigawa, la procession devait voir le lutteur ukrainien défiler en pousse-pousse aux côtés des présidents ses soutiens locaux. Le club a confirmé sur son site Internet qu'aucun rattrapage n'aurait lieu avant le début du tournoi d'automne au Kokugikan, le 13 septembre. Sur les réseaux sociaux, les supporters ont accueilli la nouvelle avec compréhension, exprimant surtout leur sollicitude pour la santé du champion et formulant déjà l'espoir de fêter sa future promotion au rang de yokozuna.

Due to heavy rain in Tokyo on Sunday 6 September, the parade celebrating Ozeki Aonishiki’s third victory at the Nagoya tournament had to be cancelled.
Scheduled for 18:00 JPT in the district where his stable is based, the procession was to see the Ukrainian wrestler ride in a rickshaw alongside the chairmen of his local supporters’ groups. The Ajigawa stable confirmed on its website that no rescheduled event would take place before the start of the Autumn tournament at the Kokugikan on September 13.
