La presse japonaise a rapporté ce vendredi 27 février que l’ancien 73e yokozuna Terunofuji aurait récemment frappé Hakunofuji à plusieurs reprises.
Conscient de son acte malsain, il se serait lui-même dénoncé auprès du Bureau de l’Association qui enquêtera pendant le mois de mars et rendra son jugement d’ici à la fin du tournoi de printemps. Le directeur a demandé à Nishikifuji de l’accompagner en guise de témoin, d’où la pré-sence solitaire d’Atamifuji mardi à sa conférence de presse pour le nouveau banzuke.
