Terunofuji: the new oyakata
On a pu apercevoir aujourd’hui la première métamorphose de Terunofuji : le costume ! Le 73e yokozuna est arrivé au Kokugikan pour une réunion avec d’autres oyakata.
Il a évoqué devant quelques caméras que sa cérémonie de retraite devrait être programmée vers la fin du tournoi de la nouvelle année 2026. Il félicite enfin Hoshoryu pour sa nomination comme « nouveau membre de la famille des Grands champions ».
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Today we were able to see the first metamorphosis of Terunofuji: the costume! The 73rd yokozuna arrived at the Kokugikan for a meeting with other oyakata.
He mentioned in front of a few cameras that his retirement ceremony should be scheduled towards the end of the 2026 New year's tournament. Finally, he congratulates Hoshoryu on his appointment as "the newest member of the Great Champions family".
