En septembre, l’Association a choisi de prendre "sa DeLorean" et remonter en 1967.

Le 47^e yokozuna Kashiwado rendait sa cinquième coupe de l’Empereur au président Tokitsukaze fka Futabayama. Ce tournoi voyait les débuts Makuuchi de Tokibayama (futur Fujigane-oyakata) et les premiers pas en san’yaku de Mutsuarashi (le fondateur d’Ajigawa-beya I). Sur la vidéo disponible à ce lien [NB : pas de son], vous pouvez regarder par exemple :

• Takamiyama x Tochiazuma (3:21), ou Kotozakura x Maenoyama (19:23).

• Kitanofuji, qui était encore ozeki, affrontait Kiyokuni (20:18).

• Les Grands champions arrivent dès 23:34 (Taiho), 25:15 (Sadanoyama) et 26:21 (Kashiwado).

À la fin de la quinzaine, le grand-père d’Oho remportera son 26^e trophée.

In September, the Association chose to take "their DeLorean" and go back to 1967.

The 47^th yokozuna Kashiwado returned his fifth Emperor's cup to President Tokitsukaze fka Futabayama. This tournament saw the Makuuchi debut of Tokibayama (future Fujigane-oyakata) and the first steps in san'yaku of Mutsuarashi founder of Ajigawa-beya I). • Takamiyama x Tochiazuma (3:21), or Kotozakura x Maenoyama (19:23).

• Kitanofuji, who was still ozeki, faced Kiyokuni (20:18).
