Au début de chaque mois, l'Association présente systématiquement des images d'archives d'une journée d'ouverture de tournoi.
En juin, la DeLorean nous ramène à septembre 1985. Durant cette période Onokuni, qui deviendra le 62e yokozuna, venait d'être promu au rang d'ozeki face au précédent champion, Hokutenyu.
La vidéo présentée aujourd'hui inclut 21 matchs, dont trois de la deuxième ligue Juryo. Voici ma sélection :
Observez par exemple Tochinohana à 12:16, Kirishima à 19:54 ou Sakahoko à 25:05.
Takamisugi se bat à 26:42, suivi par Asahifuji à 28:55.
Terao apparaît à 32:42 juste après Asashio à 31:39.
Le tout se termine avec Fujiwaka à 35:56 et "le Loup" Chiyonofuji à 37:48.
Ce dernier a remporté la compétition pour la treizième fois !
