Les deux champions de cette 50e édition sont Hoshoryu pour la Makuuchi et Shonannoumi pour la Juryo. Il y a également eu une animation avec quatre instructeurs : Iwatomo (Aoiyama) x Oyama (Hokutofuji) et Araiso (Kotoyuki) x Oguruma (Kotoeko).
