La presse a rapporté ce matin que le club d’Aonishiki avait sélectionné pour le tournoi de mars son nouveau talent.

Âgé de 22 ans et étudiant à l’université Waseda de Tokyo, c'est la première fois en 94 ans (février 1932) que l'établissement héberge un candidat de la JSA. La première recrue se nommait Kasagiyama, un futur sekiwake actif jusqu'en novembre 1945 chez Dewanoumi-beya. Kawazoe Fuma (photo) est le cousin d'Hananofuji ! Le jeune homme a déjà un beau palmarès dans le sumo scolaire, dont le gain de la Hakuho Cup et des championnats nationaux, avant de devenir le capitaine de l’équipe universitaire.
