Jeudi, l’ancien sekiwake Kotonowaka 1 est parti à Shizuoka-shi pour visiter le lycée Nagatami dans le but de rencontrer Ryuta Yoshino, un étudiant de 3e année.

Le jeune homme a déjà un pied dans le sumo depuis l’école élémentaire et a rencontré le directeur il y a environ deux ans lors d’un jungyo.

Il n’a pas réellement un gabarit de rikishi (161 cm, 84 kg), mais son jeu de jambes est impressionnant. Il passera la maezumo à Osaka en mars, et débutera sur le banzuke de Natsu (mai) sous le shikona Kotoyoshino 琴芳野.
