Dimanche soir, une réunion a été organisée à Kanazawa-shi, Ishikawa (là où le jungyo fera étape demain) au cours de laquelle le yokozuna a reçu trois nouveaux tabliers de cérémonie. L’entreprise donatrice est spécialisée dans le transport de marchandises, elle lui est familière car son père y travaille. La scène utilisée était la remorque d’un camion, environ 200 personnes étaient présentes.
