Moins de vingt-quatre heures après avoir capturé son troisième titre au tournoi de printemps, le sekiwake mongol s’est présenté lundi matin devant la presse dans le logement d’Otowayama-beya à Osaka.
Auteur d’une série de onze victoires consécutives entre le troisième et le treizième jour, Kirishima révèle son "secret" :

Depuis 1969 et l’instauration du système actuel de rétrogradation, il est le troisième rikishi à réaliser cette performance. Le premier était Kaiketsu en mars 1977, l’autre Terunofuji en mai 2021.
