Le tant attendu classement du tournoi de juillet est là !
Si la place des lutteurs ayant terminé sur un make-koshi (au moins 8 défaites) fait déjà débat, cette nouvelle édition apporte aussi de très belles surprises. Place à notre analyse flash du jour.

San'yaku
Grâce à sa superbe place de finaliste en mai (12-3), Kirishima s'empare du premier rang des ozeki, tandis que Kotozakura est relégué au second plan après son difficile 3-9-3.
Du côté des sekiwake, Atamifuji et Kotoshoho (9-6) sauvent leurs places mais voient débarquer deux voisins de taille : Wakatakakage et Aonishiki.
Enfin, le sommet du classement s'étoffe avec la promotion de Yoshinofuji et le retour d'Oho.

Maegashira
C’est un moment charnière pour Gonoyama, Churanoumi, Kotoeiho, Fujiryoga et Wakanosho, qui atteignent ou égalent tous le meilleur classement de leur carrière.
La chute est plus brutale pour Takayasu : contraint à l'abandon à Tokyo avec un bilan de 2-2-11, il perd son titre de komusubi et dégringole à la septième place.
Heureusement, le tableau apporte son lot de sang neuf : félicitations à Kazuma et Daiseizan pour leur entrée en Makuuchi, ainsi qu'à Takerufuji et Onokatsu qui signent leur grand retour chez les "Grands".

Juryo
Le "jeu des chaises musicales" a rendu son verdict. Pour compenser les quatre montées en Makuuchi, quatre lutteurs font le chemin inverse : Tokihayate, Ryuden, Oshoumi et Tamawashi sont relégués en ligue inférieure.
À l'inverse, la dynamique est excellente pour Asasuiryu, Kyokukaiyu, Toshinofuji et Kazekeno qui s'offrent tous un nouveau record en carrière.
La relève pointe le bout de son nez : présenté par l’Association après le tournoi d’été, Arashifuji fait son entrée chez les sekitori au détriment d’Okaryu.
Impossible de terminer sans évoquer quelques favoris du public :
• Shikoroyama-beya : Tenrosei, cousin du yokozuna Hoshoryu, est Makushita n°56⬇️
• Futagoyama-beya : Nabatame et Mita sont tous les deux Makushita n°3⬆️ et n°41⬆️
• Isegahama-beya : Asahifuji "l’invincible" est Ms n°11⬆️
• Otake-beya : les frères d’Oho sont Ms n°4⬆️ (Mudoho) et Sandanme 1⬆️ (Naya) tandis que Moriurara s’effondre un peu plus en Jonokuchi 13⬇️.
• Musashigawa-beya : Hikarumusashi, le neveu du directeur, est Sandanme 65⬆️
Pour conclure, gardez un œil bien ouvert sur le jeune espoir britannique de la Minato-beya : Nicholas Tarasenko ! Sous son tout nouveau shikona EISEI, il fera ses grands débuts professionnels en montant sur le dohyo de la Maezumo pour la toute première fois.
Un "baptême du feu" à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !

The long-awaited ranking charts of the July tournament are here!
If the place of wrestlers who have finished on a make-koshi (at least 8 defeats) is already debated, this new edition also brings some very nice surprises. Let's take a look at today's flash analysis.

San'yaku
Thanks to his superb finalist place in May (12-3), Kirishima takes over the top ozeki spot while Kotozakura is relegated to the second row after his difficult 3-9-3.
On the sekiwake side, Atamifuji and Kotoshoho (9-6) saved their places but see the arrival of two major rivals: Wakatakakage and Aonishiki.
Finally, the top of the ranking is growing with the promotion of Yoshinofuji and the return of Oho.

Maegashira
It's a pivotal moment for Gonoyama, Churanoumi, Kotoeiho, Fujiryoga and Wakanosho who all reach or equal the best rankings of their careers.
The fall was more brutal for Takayasu: forced to withdraw in Tokyo with a record of 2-2-11, he lost his komusubi title and fell to the seventh place.
Fortunately, the table brings its share of new blood: congratulations to Kazuma and Daiseizan for their entry into Makuuchi, as well as to Takerufuji and Onokatsu who sign their return to the "Big ones".

Juryo
The "game of musical chairs" has given its verdict. To balance with the four rises in Makuuchi, four wrestlers went the other way: Tokihayate, Ryuden, Oshoumi and Tamawashi were relegated to the lower league.
On the other hand, the momentum is excellent for Asasuiryu, Kyokukaiyu, Toshinofuji and Kazekeno who all set new career highs.
The next generation is on the horizon: presented by the Association after the summer tournament, Arashifuji enters the sekitori at Okaryu's expense.
It is impossible to end without mentioning some of the public's favorites.
• Shikoroyama-beya: Tenrosei, cousin of the yokozuna Hoshoryu, is Makushita 56⬇️
• Futagoyama-beya: Nabatame and Mita are both Makushita 3⬆️ and 41⬆️
• Isegahama-beya: Asahifuji "the unshakable" is Ms 11⬆️
• Otake-beya: Oho's brothers are Makushita 4⬆️ (Mudoho) and Sandanme 1⬆️ (Naya) while Moriurara collapses a little more in Jonokuchi 13⬇️.
• Musashigawa-beya: Hikarumusashi, the director's nephew, is Sandanme 65⬆️
To conclude, keep an eye out for the young British hope of Minato-beya: Nicholas Tarasenko! Under his brand new shikona EISEI, he will make his professional debut by riding the Maezumo's dohyo for the very first time.
A "baptism of fire" not to be missed under any circumstances!
