Meet the new Juryo rikishi for the Natsu basho in May
L’Association a révélé ce mercredi matin la liste de quatre lutteurs Makushita qui intègreront la Juryo au prochain tournoi. En plus du retour de Kirishima au statut d’ozeki ; nous accueillons à nouveau Tochitaikai (Kasugano, photo 2), Hakuyozan (Takadagawa, photo 3) et Enho (Isegahama, photo 4) ! Un seul homme fera ses premiers pas dans la deuxième division : Okaryu (Tatsunami, photo 1).
Quelques instants plus tard, les réjouissances ont laissé place à la tristesse… En effet, ONZE personnes ont été recensées dans le fichier des retraites. Découvrez les dans le tableau figurant au bas de l’article.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
The Association announced this Wednesday morning the list of four Makushita wrestlers who will be promoted to Juryo for the next tournament. In addition to the return of Kirishima to the status of ozeki; we welcome back Tochitaikai (Kasugano, photo 2), Hakuyozan (Takadagawa, photo 3) and Enho (Isegahama, photo 4)! Only one man will make his debut in the second division: Okaryu (Tatsunami, photo 1).
A few moments later, the celebrations gave way to sadness… Indeed, ELEVEN people were listed in the retirement files. See the table at the bottom of the article for details.

Nota Bene : on continuera de voir Chiyomaru autour des dohyo ! Il occupera désormais le poste de wakamonogashira, ou "responsable de la jeunesse". Cette catégorie de personnes est chargé entre autres d’accompagner les shindeshi (nouveaux lutteurs) pendant leur période maezumo ou banzuke-gai.Note: We’ll still see Chiyomaru around the dohyo! He will now serve as wakamonogashira, or “youth leader.” Among other duties, this role involves mentoring the shindeshi (new wrestlers) during their maezumo or banzuke-gai periods.
