Cela fait QUATRE ans qu’Ochirusaihan attendait ce moment.

Arrivé en 2021 dans le club d’Asahifuji, il ne pouvait pas être intégré dans l’effectif car la réglementation "1 club, 1 étranger" s’appliquait : Terunofuji était toujours considéré non-japonais jusqu’à ce qu’il prenne sa retraite. En 2024, lorsque Miyagino-beya a été absorbée, l’étranger était Seihakuho (actuel Makushita 21).

L’Association a reconnu cette semaine que le disciple d’Hakuho ne faisait pas réellement partie d’Isegahama car son club d’origine porte toujours la mention du contrôle judiciaire.

Vous l’avez peut-être déjà aperçu dans des vidéos, Ochirusaihan s’est beaucoup entraîné pour ce jour. Beaucoup de témoins (lutteurs, entraîneurs, et autres individus) estiment qu’il a déjà un mental de san’yaku et des performances extraordinaires sur le dohyo. Il passera officiellement les tests de recrutement pour le tournoi de septembre (Aki).

Ochirusaihan has been waiting for this moment for FOUR years.

Arriving in 2021 in Asahifuji’s stable, he could not be included in the squad because the "1 heya, 1 foreigner" regulation applied: Terunofuji was still considered non-Japanese until he retired. In 2024, when Miyagino-beya was absorbed, it was Seihakuho (now Makushita 21).

The Association acknowledged this week that Hakuho's disciple was not actually part of Isegahama because his home stable still carries the "under custody" mention.

You may have seen him  in videos before, Ochirusaihan has been training a lot for this day.
