Haru basho: Kirishima injured himself during practice
Ce mercredi matin, le komusubi est venu en degeiko chez Arashio-beya pour une vingtaine de duels (victoire 17-5).
Il se serait blessé à la hanche en affrontant Daieisho, avant d'aller directement à l’hôpital en sortant du club vers midi.
Il n’avait repris l’entraînement à Osaka qu’en début de semaine à cause d’une vieille douleur au cou qui le gênait. Il reste encore du temps avant le début du tournoi, mais beaucoup de personnes pensent que l’ancien ozeki ne prendra pas part à la compétition, du moins pas en intégralité.

This Wednesday morning, the komusubi came to Arashio-beya for about twenty duels (17-5 victory).
He reportedly injured his hip while fighting Daieisho, before going directly to the hospital when leaving the stable around noon.
He only returned to training in Osaka earlier this week because of an old neck pain that bothered him. There is still time before the tournament starts, but many people believe that the former ozeki will not take part in the competition, at least not in its entirety.
