L’ozeki Kitanofuji rendait sa première coupe de l’Empereur au président Tokitsukaze (fka Y35 Futabayama). Fujinokawa, qu’on a connu comme le directeur Isenoumi entre 1982-2011, faisait ses débuts en tant que sekiwake. On nous présente quatre matchs Juryo et 17 en Makuuchi.
Regardez par exemple Takamiyama (2:32) avant le dohyo-iri des trois yokozuna (6:01 > 8:26). Vous pourrez aussi voir Yutakayama I (25:01) et Kitanofuji (27:44). Les grands champions arrivent dès 28:59 avec Sadanoyama, puis Kashiwado à 29:58 et Taiho clôture la journée dès 31:10.
NB : à la fin de la quinzaine, c’est ce dernier qui décroche son 25e trophée (photo).

The ozeki Kitanofuji returned his first Emperor's cup to President Tokitsukaze (fka Y35 Futabayama). Fujinowaka, later known as Isenoumi-oyakata between 1982-2011, was making his debuts as sekiwake. We are presented with four Juryo and seventeen in Makuuchi.
