L’Association a révélé hier que le canal YouTube ne sera pas ouvert pendant les basho à compter du 14 septembre. La règle stipule même qu’aucune apparition n’est autorisée à la télévision ou dans d’autres événements en lien avec le sumo pendant cette période !
L’objectif est d’attirer davantage l’attention sur les combats. Jusqu’aujourd’hui, les retransmissions YT ont contribué à l’attrait de nouveaux fans, mais le comportement de certains oyakata a souvent été critiqué voire jugé incompatible avec l’ambiance de la compétition.ENGLISH TRANSLATION
