Si Tobizaru challengeait les yokozuna à 4-0 samedi soir, il s’est fait surprendre par Takayasu dimanche. La finale opposait donc les deux Grands champions et Hoshoryu a pu soulever le trophée devant la foule du Royal Albert Hall. Onosato a conclu l’événement avec un discours EN ANGLAIS, le même qu’Hokutoumi a prononcé il y a 34 ans :
Bonsoir, Londres est grandiose, merci et à bientôt !
Comme au Japon, les prix spéciaux ont été distribués à Takayasu (esprit du combat), Tobizaru (performance) et Ura (technique). Le "Magicien rose" a également reçu le trophée du public, ayant conquis le cœur d’un grand nombre de spectateurs.
Tout le monde devrait repartir dans le début de semaine pour Tokyo. À leur arrivée, ils n'auront qu'une petite poignée de jours pour refaire leurs bagages et voyager vers Fukuoka, où le banzuke de novembre sera dévoilé LUNDI 27 OCTOBRE.ENGLISH TRANSLATION
