A first blow for the Nagoya tournament: Hakuyozan withdraws
Mardi matin, au lendemain de la publication du banzuke de juillet, la mauvaise nouvelle est tombée : le Juryo 13 Hakuyozan ne participera pas au tournoi de Nagoya.
Selon le directeur Takadagawa, le lutteur de 31 ans a récemment été opéré du tendon d'Achille. Si sa convalescence se passe bien, son retour sur le dohyo n'est pas envisagé avant l'année prochaine. Face à cette longue absence, les rumeurs de retraite vont déjà bon train chez les fans 😫.
L'intervention vient tout juste d'avoir lieu, l'heure n'est donc absolument pas aux spéculations.
La priorité absolue pour Hakuyozan est le repos afin de permettre à son corps de guérir correctement. Une fois rétabli, il pourra songer à une reprise progressive de l'entraînement. Loin d'être la fin, cette épreuve pourrait bien être le tremplin vers un nouveau départ...

On Tuesday morning, the day after the July banzuke was published, the bad news broke: Juryo 13 Hakuyozan will not be taking part in the Nagoya tournament.
According to Director Takadagawa, the 31-year-old wrestler recently underwent surgery on his Achilles tendon. If his recovery goes well, he is not expected to return to the dohyo until next year. Faced with this long absence, rumours of his retirement are already rife amongst fans 😫.

Hakuyozan’s top priority is to rest so that his body can heal properly. Once he has recovered, he can start thinking about gradually resuming training. Far from being the end, this ordeal could well be the springboard to a new beginning...
