Une assemblée extraordinaire du Bureau a eu lieu ce lundi matin pour discuter de l’affaire, mais aussi des conséquences auprès des rikishi. Le protagoniste tiendra une conférence de presse la semaine prochaine dans laquelle on aura certainement plus de détails, mais voici les premiers commentaires que l’on a pu récupérer. Le premier plan était construit ainsi :

Avec la retraite de Terunofuji en janvier et la fin du mandat d’Isegahama-oyakata en juillet, le club Asakayama deviendrait les nouveaux tuteurs jusqu’à la fin d’année, mais Miyagino-beya redeviendrait indépendant dès le début 2026. 

Hakuho n’aurait pas voulu ce changement pour ses rikishi qui sont du même avis. Les rapports transmis mensuellement à l’Association se seraient même dégradés depuis la nouvelle année, ce qui a sans doute provoqué le report de l’indépendance.

La réunion s’est conclue avec l’annonce des transferts de kabu : Terunofuji prend la tête d’Isegahama-beya et Asahifuji devient le consultant Miyagino-oyakata jusqu’à son départ.

An extraordinary board meeting was held on Monday morning to discuss the case, but also the consequences for the rikishi. With Terunofuji's retirement in January and the end of Isegahama-oyakata's term in July, the Asakayama stable would become the new tutors until the end of the year, but Miyagino-beya would become independent again in early 2026.

Hakuho would not have wanted this change for his rikishi who are of the same opinion. The reports sent monthly to the Association have even deteriorated since the new year, which has undoubtedly caused the postponement of independence.

The meeting concluded with the announcement of the kabu transfers: Terunofuji takes over as head of Isegahama-beya and Asahifuji becomes Miyagino-oyakata as a consultant until his departure.
