Trois officiels fêtent leur anniversaire aujourd’hui.

Tokoriki et Tokotetsu ont 32 et 52 ans. Le premier a été engagé en 2011 chez Dewanoumi-beya et le second en 1988 chez Takadagawa. -riki est aujourd’hui le septième tokoyama de la « Troisième classe » (promu 2022) et -tetsu est le huitième coiffeur de la « Première classe » (prom. 2019).
Le 62ᵉ yokozuna Onokuni a 62 ans. Actif entre 1978 et 1991 chez Hanakago-beya puis Hanaregoma, il a obtenu la corde blanche en 1987. À sa retraite, il prend le kabu Shibatayama et créera son club en 1999. Il n’a pas fait de kanreki dohyo-iri en 2022 (60 ans) à cause de ses problèmes de mobilité. Entre 2016 et 2023, il occupait le poste de directeur des relations publiques au Bureau de l’Association et est maintenant affecté à l'École de sumo. Les fans peuvent le côtoyer sur les stands de nourriture lors des tournois.

Three officials are celebrating their birthdays today.

Tokoriki and Tokotetsu are 32 and 52 years old. The first was hired in 2011 by Dewanoumi-beya and the second in 1988 by Takadagawa. -riki is now the 7th tokoyama of the "Third class" (promoted 2022) and -tetsu is the 8th hairdresser of the "First class" (prom. 2019).
The 62nd yokozuna Onokuni is 62 years old. Active between 1978 and 1991 with Hanakago-beya and then Hanaregoma, he obtained the white rope in 1987. When he retired, he took over the Shibatayama kabu and created his club in 1999. He did not do his kanreki dohyo-iri in 2022 (60 years old) because of his mobility issues. Between 2016 and 2023, he held the position of director of PR at the Association's Board and is now assigned to the Sumo School. Fans can see him at the food stalls during tournaments.
