Hokutofuji, "Change is now"
Retraité officiellement depuis deux semaines, l’ancien komusubi a fait aujourd’hui ses premiers pas au service de sécurité pour l’événement de Kotoeko (cf. mon autre publication).
Officially retired for two weeks, the former komusubi took his first steps in the security service today for Kotoeko’s event (see my other publication).
On apprend ainsi que le nouvel Oyama-oyakata a perdu une trentaine de kilos depuis le début d’année, atteignant maintenant les 132 kg. Il a déjà commencé son rôle d’instructeur mais il ne veut pas remettre le mawashi avant la fin de l’été pour enseigner à ses camarades, laissant ainsi un peu de temps pour que ses genoux "guérissent".
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
We learn that the new Oyama-oyakata has lost about thirty kilos since the beginning of the year, now reaching 132 kg. He has already started his role as an instructor, but he does not want to put the mawashi back on until the end of the summer to teach his stablemates, thus leaving some time for his knees to "heal".
