On fête l’anniversaire de trois anciens san’yaku aujourd’hui, dont un à titre posthume.
Takanosho (sekiwake) a 30 ans. Actif depuis 2010 chez Tokiwayama-beya, il se classe Maegashira 6 pour le tournoi de novembre.
Chiyotairyu (komusubi) a 36 ans. Actif entre 2011 et 2022 chez Kokonoe-beya, il a ouvert un restaurant de viande grillée (yakiniku) en janvier 2023.
C’est le centenaire de la naissance de Rikidozan (sekiwake). Actif entre 1940 et 1950 chez Nishonoseki-beya I, il a ensuite fait carrière dans le catch professionnel entre 1951 et 1963 à la JWA et NWA chez Lou Thesz et Antonio Inoki. Il meurt en décembre 1963 -39 ans- d’une péritonite.

The birthdays of three former san'yaku are celebrated today, one of them posthumously.
Takanosho (sekiwake) is 30. Active since 2010 with Tokiwayama-beya, he ranks Maegashira 6 for the November tournament.
Chiyotairyu (komusubi) is 36 years old. Active between 2011 and 2022 at Kokonoe-beya, he opened a grilled meat restaurant (yakiniku) in January 2023.
It is the centenary of the birth of Rikidozan (sekiwake). Active between 1940 and 1950 with Nishonoseki-beya I, he then made a career in professional wrestling between 1951 and 1963 in JWA and NWA with Lou Thesz and Antonio Inoki. He died in December 1963 - 39 years old - of peritonitis.
