À deux jours du coup d'envoi du tournoi d'automne, prévu ce dimanche 13 septembre, l'Association et le FC ont rendu publique la programmation des deux premières journées de compétition dont vous retrouvez les tableaux au milieu de cet article.
Outre la grille des combats, l'instance a officialisé l'absence de trois lutteurs majeurs de la division Makuuchi. Si les forfaits de Hoshoryu et Wakatakakage étaient pressentis, celui de Wakanosho constitue une grande surprise. Le Maegashira 16 de l'écurie Minatogawa est toujours en phase de convalescence après sa blessure au genou contractée lors du tournoi de Nagoya.
La première journée promet plusieurs duels de styles et d'intensités variées :
Asakoryu x Tobizaru : fidèle à son surnom du "singe volant" (une traduction littérale de son shikona), Tobizaru compte imposer son rythme effréné, sa vitesse et ses feintes pour déstabiliser la garde d'Asakoryu.
Wakamotoharu x Shodai : une opposition tactique marquée entre la rigueur technique et le contrôle à la ceinture (mawashi) de Wakamotoharu face au sumo imprévisible de Shodai.
Ura x Shishi : choc des extrêmes entre la créativité d'Ura, spécialiste des projections rares, et le gabarit imposant du colosse Shishi.
Aonishiki x Kotoeiho : un duel de la jeune garde opposant la mobilité et le centre de gravité très bas du jeune Aonishiki au registre plus physique de Kotoeiho.
Takayasu x Kotozakura : un affrontement au sommet en yotsu-sumo (lutte à la ceinture). L'expérience du vétéran Takayasu fera face à la solidité défensive de l'ozeki Kotozakura.
Onosato x Daieisho : un choc frontal où l'impact initial (tachi-ai) s'annonce décisif entre la puissance brute d'Onosato et les poussées explosives de Daieisho.

With two days to go until the start of the Autumn tournament, scheduled for this Sunday, September 13, the Association and the FC have published the program for the first two matchdays of the competition, which you can find in the middle of this article.
In addition to the bout schedule, the organisation has confirmed the absence of three major wrestlers from the Makuuchi division. Whilst the withdrawals of Hoshoryu and Wakatakakage were widely expected, Wakanosho comes as a big surprise. The Maegashira 16 from the Minatogawa stable is still recovering from a knee injury sustained during the Nagoya tournament.
The first day promises several clashes of varying styles and intensities:
Asakoryu x Tobizaru: true to his nickname of the "Flying Monkey" (a literal translation of his shikona), Tobizaru intends to impose his frantic pace, speed and feints to destabilize Asakoryu's guard.
Wakamotoharu x Shodai: a marked tactical opposition between technical rigour and Wakamotoharu's control on the belt (mawashi) against Shodai's unpredictable sumo.
Ura x Shishi: a clash of extremes between the creativity of Ura, a specialist in rare projections, and the imposing size of the colossus Shishi.
Aonishiki x Kotoeiho: a duel of the young guard opposing the mobility and very low center of gravity of the young Aonishiki to the more physical register of Kotoeiho.
Takayasu x Kotozakura: a clash at the top in yotsu-sumo (belt wrestling). The veteran Takayasu's experience will face the defensive solidity of Ozeki Kotozakura.
Onosato x Daieisho: a head-on collision in which the initial impact (tachi-ai) promises to be a decisive clash between the raw power of Onosato and the explosive bursts of Daieisho.
