Comme à chaque tournoi, l’Association japonaise de sumo a présenté au public ses nouvelles recrues à l'issue de quelques jours de compétition. Pour la promotion de septembre 2026, seuls quatre candidats sur huit ont été reçus. Retrouvez leurs noms et résultats dans le premier tableau au bas de cet article. Le deuxième tableur mentionne les "recalés" qui étaient (et resteront) hors classement.

FYI, I don't give any spoilers about the competition in this article. As is customary at every tournament, the Japan Sumo Association introduced their new recruits to the public after a few days of fights. For the September 2026 class, sonly four out of eight candidates were accepted. You can find their names and results in the first table at the bottom of this article. The second table lists the "failers" who were (and will remain) unranked.
