Comme d’habitude, le conseil YDC s’est réuni lundi pour discuter de la compétition qui vient de finir, mais aussi pour préparer le prochain banzuke.

Le président Oshima parle au nom de ses associés en évoquant leur mécontentement envers les deux yokozuna. Tous attendaient le début de l’ère "O-Ho" 「大豊」 pendant cette quinzaine, mais ils sont très déçus de la performance d’Hoshoryu et Onosato : d'abord l’abandon du mongol au cinquième jour, mais surtout les SEPT kinboshi concédés.

À propos des trois "jeunes rikishi" (Aonishiki, Kusano, Hakuoho), nous leur souhaitons un grand avenir. Malgré quelques erreurs, ils ont su rebondir et le public était très enthousiaste en les voyant. Ils devraient prendre modèle sur les vétérans Tamawashi et Takayasu !
