A tokoyama retires after Nagoya

He celebrated his 65th birthday last Tuesday, July 22, but the "chief hairdresser" Tokotsuru was able to work until Sunday.
Active since 1976, he has styled many rikishi’s topknot through the Fukuzono brothers (Sakaho and Terao) at Izutsu-beya but also the two generations of former ozeki Kirishima without forgetting the 71st yokozuna, Kakuryu.
He does not know his future today, but we learned that Otowayama-oyakata, with whom he had been working since 2024, would have asked him to come to the stable while the remaining tokoyama, Tokodai, leaves for the jungyo.
