Ce dernier week-end de mai a été chargé en émotions ! Après qu'Oyama-oyakata (anciennement Hokutofuji) ait perdu son chignon samedi, c'est maintenant au tour de l'instructeur Kiriyama, anciennement Takarafuji !
Encore une fois, le Kokugikan a accueilli plus de 300 invités pour couper une mèche avant que les deux directeurs Isegahama ne donnent les derniers coups de ciseaux.
La foule s'est "réveillée" en entendant un nom inattendu depuis l'annonce de la fermeture du club Miyagino cette semaine : l'ancien yokozuna Hakuho était effectivement présent !!
Aujourd'hui, j'ai reçu des paroles de mon mentor qui me réchauffent le cœur, car je les attendais depuis 16,5 ans !
Pour la coupe finale, c'est Terunofuji qui a proposé que ce soit notre ancien maître qui s'en charge plutôt que lui. C'est une occasion rare d'être aux côtés de l'homme qui vous a formé et de celui qui vous accompagnera dans la suite de votre parcours.

Takerufuji, en particulier, semblait plus ému car il partage la même préfecture d'origine, Aomori, avec l'entraîneur.

Once again, the Kokugikan welcomed over 300 guests to cut a lock of hair before the two Isegahama stablemasters made the final snips with their scissors.
The crowd was "stirred" upon hearing a name they hadn't expected since the announcement of the Miyagino stable's closure this week: former yokozuna Hakuho was indeed present !!
Today, I received a message from my mentor that really warmed my heart, as I’d been waiting for it for 16 and a half years! For the final cut, Terunofuji suggested that our former master should do it rather than him. It is a rare opportunity to stand alongside the man who trained you and the one who will accompany you on the rest of your journey.
The wrestlers of Isegahama-beya had agreed to pay tribute to their new coach: Midorifuji was the first to give him a kiss, followed by the other sekitori with the -fuji suffix in their names, who copied the gesture 🤣.
