Un incident insolite a brièvement interrompu la cérémonie d'entrée des lutteurs de la division Makuuchi ce mercredi 15 juillet. Alors que l'alarme incendie retentissait dans la salle, une annonce a précisé que le signal provenait de l'étage, coupant net la présentation des rikishi, de Kotoeiho jusqu'au yokozuna Hoshoryu.
Selon l'Association, cette frayeur est due à une maladresse : un spectateur a accidentellement enclenché le bouton d'urgence en voulant se rendre aux toilettes. Le protocole de sécurité du bâtiment s'est alors automatiquement activé, donnant la priorité aux messages d'alerte et coupant temporairement la climatisation.
Plus de peur que de mal, les activités ont repris leur cours normal au bout de quelques minutes.ENGLISH TRANSLATION

An unusual incident briefly interrupted the entrance ceremony for the Makuuchi division wrestlers on Wednesday July, 15. As the fire alarm sounded in the arena, an announcement clarified that the signal was coming from the upper floor, bringing the presentation of the rikishi – from Kotoeiho right up to the yokozuna Hoshoryu – to an abrupt halt.
According to the Association, this scare was caused by a mishap: a spectator accidentally triggered the emergency button whilst trying to go to the toilets. The building’s security protocol was then automatically activated, prioritising alert messages and temporarily switching off the air conditioning.
It was more of a scare than anything else, and activities returned to normal after a few minutes.
