Deux officiels fêtent leur anniversaire en ce milieu de semaine.

Shigejiro a 32 ans. Actif depuis 2011 chez Kokonoe-beya, il a été promu en 2020 en Sandanme et en est aujourd’hui le premier yobidashi (annonceur).
L’ancien sekiwake Fujinokawa a 78 ans. Actif entre 1961 et 1972 chez Isenoumi-beya, il en est devenu le directeur à sa retraite jusqu’en 2011. Durant cette période, on lui doit les questionnaires distribués au public à la fin de chaque journée de tournois pour élire leur « trois étoiles » quotidiennement.
