L’information nous est parvenue ce lundi matin, quelques heures après le dévoilement du banzuke pour le tournoi de novembre :

Endo, ancien komusubi d’Oitekaze-beya, a choisi de quitter le mawashi. 

Après quatre mois de convalescence pour une opération des genoux, il venait d’être rétrogradé en Makushita comme n°3. Il ne quitte cependant pas l’Association, il assume dès aujourd’hui le rôle de Kitajin-oyakata. Ce kabu était jusqu’à présent utilisé par l’ancien Maegashira 8 Tenkaiho (Onoe) qui démissionne.

The information reached us this Monday morning, a few hours after the banzuke for the November tournament was unveiled:

Endo, former komusubi of Oitekaze-beya, has chosen to quit the mawashi. 

After four months of rest for knee surgery, he had just been demoted to Makushita as No. 3. However, he will not leave the Association, assuming the role of Kitajin-oyakata today. This kabu was used until now by the former Maegashira 8 Tenkaiho (Onoe) who resigned.
