San'yaku
Aonishiki grave un nouveau record dans sa carrière en devenant sekiwake. Il est rejoint par Oho qui avait quitté cette place fin mars 2025. Takanosho revient en komusubi après 3,5 ans passés en Maegashira (2022-3).

Maegashira
Les deux sekiwake de septembre, Wakatakakage et Kirishima, sont desitués de la san'yaku avec des résultats de 6-9.
Hakuoho poursuit son ascension en s'emparant de la pole position. On remarque un nouveau nom sur ce banzuke Makuuchi : Yoshinofuji 義ノ富士 est en réalité le shikona de Kusano qui utilisait jusqu'ici son nom de famille pour combattre.
Nishikifuji et Chiyoshoma font leur retour en élite pour ce tournoi de novembre, accompagnés par Oshoumi qui fera ses débuts en tant que n°16 (photo).

Juryo
Trois sekitori sont relégués : Hitoshi, Nishikigi et Takerufuji - ce dernier étant forfait depuis l'automne.
Comme en Aki, un quintet enregistre son meilleur classement : Fujiseiun, Asahakuryu, Mita, Hatsuyama et Nishinoryu.
Wakanosho et Kitanowaka réintègrent la deuxième division, et nous accueillons Fujiryoga 藤凌駕 (fka Goshima) et Himukamaru 日向丸 (fka Nagamura) !

Enho grimpe lentement et arrive Makushita 17, mais Kawazoe (absent depuis juillet) plonge au premier rang des Jonidan.

L'ancien J12 Kiryuko, blessé depuis mars, dégringole en Jonidan 10.
NB : la presse a signalé ce matin qu’Endo a choisi de prendre sa retraite. Ancien komusubi, il se classait Makushita 3 pour cette compétition après quatre mois d’absence. Vous retrouverez un article à son sujet dans les actualités quotidiennes.

Aonishiki set a new career record by becoming a sekiwake! He is joined by Oho who left this position at the end of March 2025. Takanosho returns to komusubi after 3.5 years in Maegashira (2022-3).

Maegashira
The two September sekiwake, Wakatakakage and Kirishima, are demoted after their 6-9.
Hakuoho continues his ascension by taking the pole position. We notice a new name on this Makuuchi banzuke: Yoshinofuji 義ノ富士 is the shikona of Kusano who used his last name to fight until now.
Nishikifuji and Chiyoshoma will be back in the elite for this November tournament, accompanied by Oshoumi who makes his debut as No. 16 (photo).

Three sekitori are dismissed: Hitoshi, Nishikigi and Takerufuji - the latter had been out since the autumn.
As in Aki, five people record their best rankings: Fujiseiun, Asahakuryu, Mita, Hatsuyama and Nishinoryu.

NB: the press reported this morning that Endo has chosen to retire. Former komusubi, he was ranked Makushita 3 for this competition after four months of absence. You will find an article about him in the daily news.
