Comme les jours précédents, l'ozeki s'est de nouveau entraîné aujourd'hui chez Arashio-beya en vue du Natsu basho. Il n'a disputé que sept combats contre Wakatakakage et son frère, et c'est après une projection de Wakamotoharu que l'Ukrainien a ressenti une vive douleur à la cheville gauche.
Plusieurs personnes l'ont vu retourner immédiatement dans son club avant qu'une ambulance ne vienne le chercher...
