Éloigné des dohyo à Tokyo (mai) en raison d'une blessure à la cheville, le sekiwake ukrainien Aonishiki a repris une préparation légère ce mardi à Nagoya, juste après la sortie du banzuke.
Les confrontations réelles avec ses partenaires de l'Ajigawa-beya débuteront ce week-end. Boosté par son entraîneur (fka Aminishiki), il a finalement accepté sa rétrogradation pour en faire un tremplin. Son ambition pour le tournoi de juillet est claire : il ne vise pas seulement les 10 victoires réglementaires, mais carrément le titre de champion !

Sidelined from the dohyo in Tokyo (May) due to an ankle injury, the Ukrainian sekiwake Aonishiki resumed light training on Tuesday in Nagoya, just after the banzuke was released.
The actual bouts against his stablemates at Ajigawa-beya will begin this weekend. Spurred on by his coach (formerly Aminishiki), he has finally accepted his demotion and is using it as a springboard. His ambition for the July tournament is clear: he is not just aiming for the 10 required wins, but straight for the championship title!
