Aki basho: Ajigawa-beya welcomed Fujinokawa
Mardi matin, Isenoumi-oyakata a choisi d’envoyer Fujinokawa vers Aonishiki pour s’entraîner avant le tournoi d’automne. Les deux hommes ont fait une dizaine de matchs ensemble, que l’ukrainien a gagné 9-1.
Aonishiki est assez satisfait de sa préparation :
Depuis plusieurs mois, mon sumo s’inspire du 70e yokozuna Harumafuji dans sa période Ama [NDLR, 2001-2008]. Mon shisho étant son ancien camarade, il connaît beaucoup ce style de combat. Le nouvel objectif est le statut d’ozeki. Je vise aussi le palier de 12 victoires ce qui serait mon record personnel.
Fujinokawa en revanche a ravalé sa fierté d'hier contre Hoshoryu :
La victoire aujourd’hui était quasi impossible, le komusubi était trop fort pour moi. Néanmoins j’ai beaucoup appris sur cette série, le directeur Ajigawa m’a prodigué de nombreux conseils, je dois travailler plus d’ici à dimanche.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
On Tuesday morning, Isenoumi-oyakata chose to send Fujinokawa to Aonishiki to train before the Autumn tournament. The two men had a dozen bouts together, which the Ukrainian won 9-1.
Aonishiki is quite satisfied with his preparation:
For several months, my sumo has been inspired by the 70th yokozuna Harumafuji in his Ama period [Editor's note, 2001-2008]. My shisho being his former stablemate, he knows a lot about this style of fighting. The new goal is the ozeki status. I'm also aiming for a 12-win score, which would be my personal best.
Fujinokawa, on the other hand, swallowed his pride from yesterday against Hoshoryu:
Today’s victory was almost impossible, the komusubi was too strong for me. Nevertheless, I learned a lot about this series, the director Ajigawa gave me a lot of advice, I have to work more between now and Sunday.
