Nous voici au terme de ce tournoi d’été, avec un suspense qui aura duré jusqu’à la dernière seconde pour déterminer qui soulèvera la coupe de l’Empereur.
En Juryo, Kazuma a mis fin au débat très tôt en éjectant Nishinoryu. Quelques minutes plus tard, Takerufuji confirme tout de même sa deuxième place en écrasant Meisei avant que Daiseizan laisse Kazekeno sur la troisième marche du podium…
En Makuuchi, Hakunofuji est le premier à réclamer un playoff potentiel en laissant passer Fujiseiun. Son camarade Yoshinofuji le rejoint en sortant Kotoeiho.
Les espoirs des deux garçons d’Isegahama-beya seront stoppés lorsque Wakatakakage revendique la manche décisive devant Fujiryoga. Kirishima répondra à ce défi en se débarrassant vite d’Ura.
Quand viennent les épreuves subsidiaires, on assiste d’abord au triomphe d’Asahifuji en Sandanme (3 compétitions, 3 championnats !) avant qu’Ikarigata ruse face à Akua (Makushita).
La journée -et le concours- se termine avec la rencontre de la première ligue : Waka-TK fonce sur son adversaire qui n’a d’autre choix que tomber au pied du dohyo !!

In Makuuchi, Hakunofuji was the first to claim a potential playoff by letting Fujiseiun through. His stablemate Yoshinofuji would join him by taking out Kotoeiho.
The hopes of the two boys from Isegahama-beya were stopped when Wakatakakage argued the decisive match against Fujiryoga. Kirishima will respond to this challenge by quickly getting rid of Ura.
When the subsidiary events come, we first witness the triumph of Asahifuji in Sandanme (3 competitions, 3 championships!) before Ikarigata cunningly defeats Akua (Makushita).
The day -and the contest- ended with the first league fight: Waka-TK rushed at his opponent who had no choice but to fall at the foot of the dohyo!!
