Lundi 20 juillet : coup dur pour les sommets de la hiérarchie…
Décidément, Nagoya continue de créer la surprise jour après jour. En division Makuuchi, la tête du classement provisoire s'est resserrée à trois hommes seulement.
En Juryo, Arashifuji prend une courte longueur d'avance en écartant Shirokuma. En embuscade pour le titre, Toshinofuji confirme sa détermination : l'ancien disciple de Hakuho/Miyagino a réussi à esquiver la sortie de zone à plusieurs reprises face à Tokihayate.
Du côté de la première division, Shishi est le premier à valider son kachi-koshi (8+ victoires) en s'imposant contre Abi. Il est rejoint un peu plus tard par Kotoeiho, venu à bout de Fujiryoga.
🎲Après sa prestation éprouvante d'hier et un retour aux vestiaires inquiétant, la présence d'Aonishiki sur le dohyo ce matin restait incertaine. Le sekiwake a pourtant fait honneur à son rang en stoppant net la lancée du yokozuna Onosato.
💥Fidèle à son ambiance survoltée, l'IG Arena a de nouveau vibré lors des victoires de Hakunofuji et Churanoumi face aux deux ozeki Kotozakura et Kirishima, mais c'est surtout la défaite d'Hoshoryu contre Yoshinofuji qui a soulevé la foule.

Nagoya continues to create surprises day after day. In the Makuuchi division, the lead in the provisional standings has narrowed to just three men.
In Juryo, Arashifuji took a short advance by dismissing Shirokuma. In ambush for the title, Toshinofuji confirmed his ambitions: the former disciple of Hakuho/Miyagino managed to dodge the exit of the zone several times against Tokihayate.
In the first division, Shishi was the first to validate his kachi-koshi (8+ points) by winning against Abi. He is joined a little later by Kotoeiho, who defeated Fujiryoga.
🎲After his grueling performance yesterday and a worrying return to the locker room, Aonishiki's presence on the dohyo this morning remained uncertain. The sekiwake did justice to his rank by stopping the momentum of the yokozuna Onosato in his tracks.
💥True to its supercharged atmosphere, the IG Arena once again vibrated during the successes of Hakunofuji and Churanoumi against the two ozeki Kotozakura and Kirishima, but it was above all Hoshoryu's downfall against Yoshinofuji that brought the crowd to its feet.
