Dimanche 26 juillet : suspense total et finales sous haute tension !

Le tournoi de Nagoya touche à sa fin avec une ultime journée spectaculaire, rythmée par de multiples play-offs.

💥En Juryo, la tension est montée d'un cran. Toshinofuji a été le premier à arracher une manche décisive, profitant d'une erreur d'appui de Kagayaki. Tokihayate est ensuite venu briser les espérances de Shonannoumi, qui pensait sceller rapidement son titre en deuxième division. De son côté, Arashifuji a dû livrer un duel acharné face à Kyokukaiyu pour tenter de rejoindre son coéquipier, tandis qu'Asasuiryu s'est invité dans la course en expédiant Hatsuyama hors du cercle.

🎲Le rythme est ensuite retombé avec les barrages des divisions inférieures : Tenshoyama a décroché le titre en Sandanme, suivi par l'indétrônable Asahifuji, sacré en Makushita. De retour chez les Juryo, Shonannoumi a finalement réussi à prendre le dessus sur Toshinofuji au terme d'un combat éprouvant.

🌟Enfin, en Makuuchi, l'IG Arena est entré en ébullition une dernière fois. Atamifuji est revenu à hauteur d'Aonishiki grâce à un verrouillage parfait de ses bras. Dans le choc des ozeki, Kirishima a montré qu'il n'avait pas dit son dernier mot en s'imposant face à Kotozakura. Le tournoi s'est conclu dans une ambiance survoltée avec le triomphe final du sekiwake ukrainien !

Sunday, July 26th: total suspense and high-tension finals!

The Nagoya tournament is coming to an end with a spectacular final day, punctuated by multiple play-offs.

💥In Juryo, the tension has risen a notch. Toshinofuji was the first to snatch a deciding set, taking advantage of an error by Kagayaki. Tokihayate then came to shatter Shonannoumi’s hopes, who though he could quickly seal his title in the second division. For his part, Arashifuji had to fight a fierce duel against Kyokukaiyu to try to catch up with his teammate, while Asasuiryu invited himself into the race by sending Hatsuyama out of the circle.

🎲The rhythm then dropped with the play-offs of the lower divisions: Tenshoyama won the title in Sandanme, followed by the “indomitable” Asahifuji, crowned in Makushita. Back with the Juryo, Shonannoumi finally managed to get the better of Toshinofuji after a grueling fight.

🌟Finally, in Makuuchi, the IG Arena has come into turmoil one last time. Atamifuji came back to Aonishiki's level thanks to a perfect arm lock. In the clash of the ozeki, Kirishima showed that he had not said his last word by winning against Kotozakura. The tournament ended in a supercharged atmosphere with the final triumph of the Ukrainian sekiwake!
