Vendredi 24 juillet : le suspense relancé à deux jours de la fin !

À deux jours du dénouement du tournoi de Nagoya, la tension monte d'un cran. Si la division Makuuchi est sous la coupe d'un seul leader, les cartes s'en trouvent une nouvelle fois redistribuées dans les deux ligues sekitori.

En Juryo, Shonannoumi (10-3) confirme son ascendant en envoyant Shirokuma au sol. Il partage toujours le sommet du classement avec Arashifuji, pourtant freiné aujourd'hui par Dewanoryu.

💥En première division, l’ozeki Kotozakura (8-5) a coupé l'élan de Shishi en l'empêchant de rejoindre la tête de course, un scénario répété peu après par Onosato (7-6) face à Takerufuji.

⚡Entre ces deux affrontements, Aonishiki (11-2) a conforté sa place de leader incontesté en surclassant Kirishima. La journée s'est achevée en "éruption" avec la victoire d'Atamifuji face au yokozuna Hoshoryu (7-6).

🏅Du côté des tableaux inférieurs disputés tôt ce vendredi, deux titres ont déjà été attribués : Kakizoe décroche le championnat en Jonokuchi après une incursion dans la division supérieure, tandis qu'Hakugetsuro s'impose en Jonidan.

Friday, July 24th: the suspense revived with two days to go!

With two days to go before the end of the Nagoya tournament, the tension is rising a notch. If the Makuuchi division remains under the control of a single leader, the cards are once again redeployed in the two sekitori leagues.

In Juryo, Shonannoumi (10-3) confirmed his ascendancy by sending Shirokuma to the ground. He still shares the top of the rankings with Arashifuji, currently held back by Dewanoryu.

💥In the first division, the ozeki Kotozakura (8-5) cut Shishi's momentum by preventing him from joining the front of the race, a scenario repeated shortly after by Onosato (7-6) against Takerufuji.

⚡Between those two clashes, Aonishiki (11-2) consolidated his place as the undisputed leader by outclassing Kirishima. The day ended in eruption with Atamifuji's victory over the other yokozuna, Hoshoryu (7-6).

🏅In the lower draws played early on Friday, two titles have already been awarded: Kakizoe won the championship in Jonokuchi after a venture into the upper division, while Hakugetsuro won in Jonidan.
