Il n’y a pas beaucoup de changement sur le classement vendredi soir, mais nous n’avons plus que des hommes solitaires dans chacune des échappées sekitori. On notera l’absence de Hakunofuji (5-8), blessé au pied depuis mercredi.
En Juryo s’est probablement joué le match du championnat. Après quelques instants "statiques" Fujiseiun s’est déséquilibré sur la ligne, laissant Wakanosho empocher son dixième point.
En Makuuchi, Atamifuji remporte facilement la victoire contre un Abi désorienté… L’un des duels les plus attendus de cette treizième journée était l’affrontement des deux anciens ozeki, Asanoyama et Takayasu (photo). Mais une fois encore c’est notre "grizzly" favori qui gagne la sixième manche de leur rivalité.
En san’yaku, Kirishima n’a pas dit son dernier mot et le fait savoir en repoussant Shishi. Onosato est toujours sur la troisième marche du podium après avoir éliminé Kotozakura. On termine avec Aonishiki et Hoshoryu, l’ukrainien est tout proche de sa deuxième coupe de l’Empereur.

There is not much change on the leaderboards on Friday evening, but we only have solo men in each of the sekitori breakaways. A few minutes after the doors opened, the Association announced that Hakunofuji (5-8) would be absent, having suffered a foot injury since Wednesday.
In Juryo the championship match was probably played today. After a few "static" moments, Fujiseiun lost his balance on the line, leaving Wakanosho to pocket his tenth point.
In Makuuchi, Atamifuji easily won against a disoriented Abi... One of the most anticipated duels of this thirteenth day was the clash of the two former ozeki, Asanoyama and Takayasu (photo). But once again, our favorite "grizzly" won the sixth round of their rivalry.
In san'yaku, Kirishima has not said his last word and made it known by pushing Shishi away. Onosato keeps the top of third step of the podium after eliminating Kotozakura. We end Friday’s report with Aonishiki and Hoshoryu, the Ukrainian is very close to his second Emperor's cup.
