Ensuite, le chiri-chozu (塵浄水) consiste à frapper des mains pour prouver qu'ils ne dissimulent aucune arme.

NB: The terms in questions 2 and 3 refer to two rituals that take place before the tachi-ai – the start of the bout. Firstly, the sonkyo (蹲踞) refers to the crouching position in which the wrestlers observe one another. Next, the chiri-chozu (塵浄水) involves clapping their hands to prove that they are not concealing any weapons.
