L’Association a dévoilé ce mercredi matin deux listes qui seront rendues véritablement officielles à la sortie du banzuke de novembre (lundi 27 octobre).

• Quatre rikishi arriveront en Juryo pour le tournoi d’hiver (tableau 1) : il y a deux nouveaux sekitori et deux retours.

• La nouvelle un peu plus triste est l’annonce des retraites, au nombre de SEIZE (tableau 2) ! On connaît le nom de Mitoryu depuis le 19 septembre, mais la surprise vient de… Takarafuji ! Le vétéran continue tout de même l’aventure en devenant le Kiriyama-oyakata.

The Association unveiled this Wednesday morning two lists that will be truly official at the release of the November banzuke (Monday, October 27).

• Four rikishi will arrive in Juryo for the Winter tournament (table 1): there are two new sekitori and two returns.

• The slightly sadder news is the announcement of the retirees, of which there are SIXTEEN (table 2)! We have known the name of Mitoryu since September 19, but the surprise comes from... Takarafuji! The veteran continues the adventure by becoming Kiriyama-oyakata.
