Voilà un moment que les oreilles de l’Association n’avaient pas sifflé pour un scandale.
On apprend aujourd’hui que Kankuro, arbitre Juryo de Yamahibiki-beya, a frappé un junior à plusieurs reprises pendant le tournoi de novembre 2024 à Fukuoka. Le jeune homme s’est plaint en haut-lieu, et Kankuro a été relevé de ses fonctions dès le nakabi du Kyushu basho. Il sera également absent du tournoi d’Osaka.

It has been a while since the ears of the Association have been burning for a scandal.
We learn today that Kankuro, Juryo referee from Yamahibiki-beya, hit a junior several times during the November 2024 tournament in Fukuoka. The young man complained in high places, and Kankuro was relieved of his duties from the nakabi of the Kyushu basho. He will also be absent from the Osaka tournament.
