Mardi midi, après son entraînement à la Takasago-beya, le nouveau Juryo Asasuiryu a indiqué à la presse qu’il portera une ceinture grise pour son premier tournoi sekitori. Il a changé d’avis par rapport au vert qui fait notamment référence au kanji 翠 /midori/ de son shikona, mais n’exclut pas de porter cette teinte un jour.
Je considère mon mawashi comme une pierre précieuse. Au début, elle est brute et incite à devenir plus fort. Le gris représente cette ambition. La prochaine fois que j’en ai un neuf, je le veux couleur jade, ce qui représente la suite logique du cycle d’un bijou : le polissage.
