Vendredi soir, QUATRE divisions ont déjà élu leur champion ! Le diplôme Jonidan est certain de se jouer dans un playoff simple, mais quid de la Juryo ?
Kusano (11-2) garde la tête en balançant Oshoumi (8-5), mais gare à ses poursuivants ! Wakaikari (10-3), son principal rival, repousse Tohakuryu (9-4). De son côté, Mita (8-5) a choisi de se retirer à la veille du weekend à cause d'une fracture de la main gauche.
En Makuuchi, Onosato (13-0) met un terme au suspens et décroche son quatrième trophée après sa victoire sur l'autre ozeki Kotozakura (8-5). La bataille est peut-être perdue, mais tout le monde lutte encore pour sauver sa place ou du moins ce qu'il en reste... Meisei (8-5) par exemple bloque Roga (7-6) avant qu'Aonishiki (9-4) se ressaisisse en sortant Hakuoho (8-5) [photo].
Il y a beaucoup de bonus aujourd'hui, cela concerne les vainqueurs 7-0 pour les ligues inférieures. On commence avec le Jonokuchi 7 Kazuma qui monte exceptionnellement en Jonidan pour faire face à Masarufuji (5-2). On poursuit avec la Sandanme et le n° 16 Hatooka qui projette Kotohaguro (6-1). Enfin, en Makushita, le n° 3 Otsuji pousse Fukuzaki (6-1) dans le dos.

The battle may be lost, but everyone is still fighting to save their place, or at least what's left of it... There are lots of bonuses today, all about the 7–0 winners of the lower leagues. First, the Jonokuchi 7 Kazuma exceptionally went up to Jonidan to face Masarufuji (5-2) . Then, in Sandanme, No. 16 Hatooka threw Kotohaguro (6-1). Finally in Makushita, No. 3 Otsuji pushed Fukuzaki (6-1) in the back.
