Lundi 19 janvier, nous venons de vivre une autre journée folle en émotions fortes, et quelque chose me dit que ce n’est que le début pour cette deuxième semaine de compétition !

S’il n’y a aucun grand mouvement dans le classement Juryo, la bataille en Makuuchi monte d’un niveau. Asanoyama sort rapidement Tobizaru avant que Kotoshoho fasse poser un pied d’Abi derrière la ligne.

En remontant le banzuke jusqu’à la san’yaku, Kirishima reprend seul la tête de course en prenant Ura à son propre jeu…

C’est un autre jour sombre pour les yokozuna. Wakamotoharu ne laisse aucune chance à Onosato, qui semble souffrir de l’épaule. Pour terminer, Atamifuji rejoint ses "frères de club" Yoshinofuji et Hakunofuji avec une étoile d’or en battant Hoshoryu.

Les MVP au neuvième jour sont :

Juryo : Sadanoumi (6), Asasuiryu (3), Fujiryoga

Kachi-koshi (8-1) : Kirishima // aucun

On Monday, we just experienced another crazy day of strong emotions, and something tells me that this is only the beginning for this second week of competition!

If there is no big movement in the Juryo leaderboard, the battle in Makuuchi goes up a level. Asanoyama quickly took out Tobizaru before Kotoshoho put Abi's foot behind the line.

Going up the banzuke to the san'yaku, Kirishima regained the lead alone by taking Ura at his own game...

It's another dark day for both yokozuna. Wakamotoharu didn’t give Onosato a chance, as the Grand champion seems to suffer from a shoulder pain. Finally, Atamifuji joins his "stable brothers" Yoshinofuji and Hakunofuji with a golden star by defeating Hoshoryu.
