On commence cette deuxième de compétition avec une "bonne" nouvelle : le Maegashira 18 Meisei fera son entrée demain dans le tournoi ! Côté résultats, les leaders Makuuchi ne changent pas mais il y a du mouvement dans l’échappée Juryo…
En effet, Hakuyozan va bloquer les bras de Fujiryoga avant de le pousser au pied du dohyo. Daiseizan profite de cette occasion pour remonter au score en agrippant la nuque de Takerufuji.
En première division, Fujinokawa a très bien attaqué la première semaine, mais il se fait éliminer une nouvelle fois par Tokihayate. Le scénario est le contraire pour Wakatakakage, qui avait mal démarré la quinzaine. Il renverse aujourd’hui Takayasu.
On remonte le banzuke jusqu’à Aonishiki. Le sekiwake ukrainien "fait vivre un sale moment" à Hiradoumi, les deux hommes sont projetés à l’extérieur de la surface de combat. Kotozakura se sauve encore in extremis pour laisser plonger Takanosho.
Les yokozuna déchaînent à nouveau leur puissance. D'abord Hoshoryu lance violemment Yoshinofuji à terre, puis Onosato se rue sur Oshoma.

We start this second week of competition with "good" news: the Maegashira 18 Meisei will make his debut in the tournament tomorrow! In terms of results, the Makuuchi leaders do not change but there's movement in the Juryo breakaway...
Indeed, Hakuyozan blocked Fujiryoga's arms before pushing him outside the dohyo. Daiseizan took advantage of this opportunity to get back in the game by grabbing Takerufuji's neck.
In the first division, Fujinokawa attacked very well the first week, but he was eliminated once again by Tokihayate. Opposite scenario for Wakatakakage, who had a bad start to the fortnight. He now overthrows Takayasu.
Going up the banzuke to Aonishiki, the Ukrainian sekiwake "made Hiradoumi live a bad moment", the two men were thrown outside the fighting zone. Kotozakura saved himself again in extremis to let Takanosho dive.
The yokozuna unleashed their power again. First Hoshoryu violently threw Yoshinofuji to the ground, then Onosato rushed at Oshoma.
