Kyushu basho, third day
On est seulement au troisième jour de compétition, et QUATRE hommes se disputent la tête de course Makuuchi. En Juryo, on a affaire à un trio. La mauvaise nouvelle de mardi n’est pas une réelle surprise : Mita abandonne la compétition à cause d’une blessure au genou, Futagoyama-oyakata nous informe qu’il lui faudra trois mois de repos.
Démarrons avec Asanoyama, l’ancien ozeki inscrit son premier point en envoyant Kotokuzan dans les gradins. Un peu plus tôt, Shirokuma confirmera sa pole position en balançant Takerufuji à terre.
On continue avec la première division. Fujinokawa arrive "miraculeusement" à sortir Daieisho pour conserver son avantage. Aonishiki le rejoint sur le podium provisoire en agrippant le cou de Hakuoho (photo). Takayasu va exploiter la faiblesse au genou de Kotozakura pour le plaquer au sol.

It's only the third day of competition, and FOUR men are fighting for the lead Makuuchi. In Juryo, we are dealing with a trio. Tuesday's bad news is not a real surprise: Mita is withdrawing the competition because of a knee injury, Futagoyama-oyakata informs us that he will need three months of rest.
Let's start with Asanoyama, the former ozeki scores his first point by sending Kotokuzan into the stands. A little earlier, Shirokuma confirmed his pole position by throwing Takerufuji to the ground.
We continue with the first division. Fujinokawa "miraculously" manages to take Daieisho out to keep his advantage. Aonishiki joined him on the provisional podium by grabbing the neck of Hakuoho (photo). Takayasu will exploit Kotozakura's weakness on the knee to tackle him to the ground.
